I've always been curious to snoop through other people's drawers and get to know them better based on what they choose to keep. To investigate these organizations, discover their little secret worlds. During the last few months, I've been collecting objects that - somehow - seemed magical to me, took me to another place, and I wanted people to be able to see and feel them with me. En cas d'incendie is part of the exhibition Une mer de petites flammes, which took place at the gallery Air de Paris in 2024, curated by Sebastián Quevedo Ramírez. Is it possible to present yourself through an object? Why do we collect and keep certain things throughout our lives - which we take with us to feel at home? What ultimately produces a feeling of home? Each object is a memory, each person is a story. Over the months leading up to the exhibition, I held individual meetings with each participating artist, where I asked them to take me either to their home or to a place that was important to them, and to take an object with them. During these meetings, we talked, they introduced me to their objects, their stories and the journey they had made so far.
