Forgetting

One day, walking down the street near my house, I found a Super 8 movie lying on the ground. It made me think about all the things that are lost materially, but also how images eventually disappear. I immediately wanted to discover the stories contained in that roll and investigate the unknown faces that were now, in a way, also a little bit mine. The video is an attempt to reproduce the process of forgetting, based on the systematic projection of an image literally forgotten in the street by its author. The same video was projected and recorded several times until the image disappeared.
